PORT ALLEN — The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Special Response Team assisted the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force in executing a search and arrest warrant Tuesday afternoon at a residence on Tracy Porter in Port Allen's Westside Village.

The operation involved numerous WBRSO deputies in full tactical gear positioned around the apartment building, as shown in photos obtained by WBR Independent. The tactical deployment indicates the serious nature of the warrant service and the potential risk to officer and public safety.

"This afternoon, the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT) assisted the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force in executing a search and arrest warrant at a residence on Tracy Porter," said Sergeant Landon Groger, WBRSO Public Affairs Coordinator.
