Joint investigation with local agencies results in 20 felony charges
BRUSLY — A joint investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old Brusly man on serious felony charges.
Brice Higgerson, of Choctaw Road in Brusly, was arrested August 1, 2025, by agents with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation.
Charges Filed
Higgerson faces 20 counts of violating Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles, Under the age of 13, each a felony charge.
Multi-Agency Investigation
The arrest resulted from a joint investigation involving:
- Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit
- West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office
- East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office
- Homeland Security Investigations
According to the Attorney General's office, agents initially received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to the investigation.
Current Status
Higgerson was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center. Bond information was not available at the time of this report.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to authorities.
