No injuries reported; electrical space heater believed to be cause

PORT ALLEN – West Baton Rouge firefighters extinguished a house fire on Avenue C in Port Allen Monday afternoon.

According to the West Baton Rouge Fire Department, crews responded to find a single-family home on fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished.

Multiple units responded to the scene, including a ladder truck and medic unit. Photos show at least four firefighters in turnout gear working the fire.

Fire officials believe an electrical space heater caused the fire. No injuries were reported.
