Multiple streets affected July 28 - August 1 for transmission pole replacement

Port Allen, LA - Entergy will conduct major electric transmission system upgrades requiring significant traffic disruptions across several Port Allen streets next week.

COMPLETE STREET CLOSURES (No Traffic Allowed)

Monday, July 28 through Friday, August 1:

• Avenue A
• Avenue G
• South Alexander Avenue

Monday, July 28 through Tuesday, July 29:

• California Avenue

WHAT TO EXPECT

Rotating Closures (2-4 hours): During "pre-pull" and "post-pull" work phases, individual streets will close with no parking allowed on either side.

Complete Closures: During critical "pull" operations, entire streets will be prohibited to all traffic for safety during steel transmission pole replacement.

ALTERNATE ROUTES

• For Avenue A/G traffic: Use Avenue F or Oaks Avenue
• For S. Alexander Ave: Use N. Alexander Avenue or Court Street
• For California Ave: Use Avenue B or Avenue C

TIMING

Work begins Monday, July 28, 2025, continuing through Friday, August 1. California Avenue work concludes Tuesday, July 29.

Drivers should expect delays and plan extra travel time. Emergency vehicles will maintain access through coordination with work crews.
