PORT ALLEN — The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a burglary at a local business.

On Monday, November 17, at approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to an alarm at the Dollar General on LA 1 South. When they arrived, they found the glass on the store's front door had been shattered.

Video surveillance showed an unknown individual entering the store, taking merchandise, and fleeing the area.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about their identity is asked to contact WBRSO Detectives at 225-382-5200 or 225-343-9234.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Capital Region Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867). Tipsters remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Tips can also be submitted through the WBRSO mobile app or website.
